Freefilesync has slowed down on mac9/21/2023 ![]() Quick, responsive just took whatever I threw at it no problems. Long story short, I'm a long time PC user who moved to Mac last year. Really hoping someone can offer some insight here. I'm thinking of moving back to previous OS, but as it hadn't been updated since unboxing I dont think this is possible? I'd actually have to do essentially a factory reset and start from Yosemite?Ģ017 MBP 16GB is really sluggish and loud after Catalina Hey everyone. I've downloaded / paid for CleanMyMacX and utilitsed essentially all of its tools to free up as much as possible but no luck.Īnyway, any advice / guidance on this much appreciated. I read the warnings to have free space when updating, and think 45GB is more than adequate for the OS to not be at the end of its tether. I can't see how this update would cause such a drastic difference. Now, I don't even try having x2 chrome windows opened simultaneously, and if i go past 2-3 youtube tabs, or have multiple open, I get significant lag when trying to do things such as open a new page, open a new tab, minimising the window even the 'right click' option menu lags or freezes sometimes. It slowed at times, but always managed great. ![]() Prior to update it used to be able to handle having x2 chrome windows open, one running up to 5+ youtube tabs (not all playing simeltaneously) with another window with 10-15+ tabs for general browsing, while playing music or potentially with photoshop / quickmovie etc in the background. I used to have El Capitan or Yosemite (have not completed OS update for awhile, or ever since unboxing) Since updating to Big Sur, I've experienced reduced performance out of the Mac. I have a Macbook Air 11" 128GB currently with 45GB free space, and 15GB space taken by "system" category. SLOWDOWN after Big Sur installation Macbook Air 2014 Hey Everyone, It's either wait and hope 11.5 in a few weeks will solve it or downgrade back to Catalina.ĭoes anyone have any other suggestions to fix it? And I have 300gb of free space, so that's not slowing it down. Changed the DNS settings and that's fine.Īnd EtreCheck Pro says there is no major problems, the SSD is showing no problems in Drive DX. The memory pressure in green, so no problem there. Also made sure there is no chrome files left.īut the MBP is constantly slow, I've reinstalled Bir Sur, done the usual SMC and PRAM reset, checked the activity monitor settings. I know Objective See apps (Lulu or oversight) had a problem with one of the previous updates but that's now fixed, google drive was indexing a lot but that's improved after talking with google one and deleting the previous drive. The main apps I am using is Safari and BiglyBT, with Back Up and Sync (google drive) running in the background. I have an early 2015 13" MBP with 16gb Ram running Big Sur 11.4 and since the update, it constantly runs slow and beach balls a lot of the time.

Shortly after Google raised the limit to 50,000 tracks, and refreshed the UI into what I felt was the best ui of any music app at the time. Within minutes I was able to upload my entire 20,000 track library to Google Play Music and access it instantly on my Android device for free. DX, D theta, the derivative of this with respect to theta is simply, 3 times the cosign of theta, just take the derivative. You may not know exactly where I'm going with this yet. It tells you right here, the substitution is to make X is equal to A sign theta, so what you need to do is write X is equal to A, that A is 3 in this case times the sign of theta. A is equal to 3, so your A squared minus X squared, so A is equal 3. Notice that this interval kind of takes the form of this. It doesn't have to be just as expression in the interval, just something in the interval has to have this in it and then you'll be good to go. This is obviously over DX and notice that you can write this interval as the square root of 3 squared minus X squared over X squared DX. Well, like I said, you need to be on the lookout. What if you had the interval of the square root of 9 minus X squared over X squared. I'm going to draw a line around here and we're going to go and try to work a few problems, just to get a feel for how you could use this. This is the same actual identity, to solve for different thing. For this problem, it's going to be secant squared minus 1 is equal to tangent squared. These are going to be useful for these problem. The identity here is 1 plus tangent squared is equal to secant squared. This is just simply cosign squared plus sign squared 1. ![]() The identity, if you're in this case, is going to be 1 minus sin squared is equal to cosign squared. Over here, there's going to be some relevant identities that you're going to need to use for each case. ![]() Finally, if you see X squared minus A squared, then you need to substitute in X is equal is A times the secant of theta. If you see the expression A squared plus X squared, then you'll to substitute in A times tangent theta. If you see this, then you need to substitute in X is equal to A times the sign of theta. Be on the lookout for that, if you see that, you're going to need to use integration by trig substitution. What I'm going to have here is expression, that you need to be on the lookout for, the first one is the square root of A squared minus X squared, all under the square root. These problems can get quite long, but I'm going to give you a couple to give you a feel for what you're going to need to do and the general way in which you need to go in and solve them.įor integration by trig substitution, what you need to be on the lookout for are a couple of expressions, really. I'm going to write a couple of things on the board that you're going to need to know to do these types of problems and I'm going to encourage you to work a lot more problems then I'm going to work here.
